The Hague, 19 September 2024 - The Hague Conference Centre is proud to introduce the renovation of the foyer and function rooms located on the second floor of the New Babylon building. This upgrade makes the venue even better suited for a wide range of (business) meetings, from small-scale meetings to international conferences and networking events.
The halls and foyer, like the rooms on the first floor, were designed by interior architect Casper Schwarz. Casper's signature style with high-quality interiors for the business market is evident in the design. Sustainable materials were used in the design.
The renovated floor offers various rooms for groups of up to 300 people. The rooms are equipped with excellent audiovisual facilities and have many break-out possibilities.
In addition to the revamped spaces, much attention is paid daily to creating an inspiring environment, with sustainability and personal attention at the centre.
General Manager, Thomas van der Zee, says: "The use of sustainable materials was explicitly considered when developing this floor. This is in line with the sustainability goals we have set ourselves to meet the highest standards. This has also resulted in achieving a gold Green Key status, participating in the Green Book programme and the New Babylon building has a BREEAM certificate.
The renovated spaces (and the rest of the building) have ideal accessibility due to their direct location next to The Hague Central Station and thanks to ample parking underneath the building.
