Molen de Ster is an industrial location in a rural setting, within walking distance of Utrecht Central Station and a 5-minute drive from an approach road. Situated on the waterfront of the Leidsche Rijn river, the mill site is an oasis of calm in Utrecht West.
The sawmill has a capacity of up to 130 people. The space has an unaffected atmosphere and you can smell the fresh wood as you enter. The industrial look makes the sawmill suitable for various types of meetings: meetings, brainstorming sessions, teambuilding and motivational days. The rural surroundings create a relaxed atmosphere. You get away from the usual office environment and that gives your relationship event or kick-off meeting that little bit extra.
You can use the waterside terrace when booking. Weather permitting, it is possible to meet outside, have lunch or after-dinner drinks. Moreover, the outdoor area is a pleasant place to stretch your legs.
When making an enquiry, we would like to hear what meeting or event the venue is booked for. We will then ensure that the meeting room is ideally suited to your meeting. Just like the catering, we are happy to adapt it to your requirements. In our catering, we use organic seasonal products as much as possible. We provide extensive lunches with soup and salads and tailor-made dinners or BBQs. Full vegetarian or vegan catering is also possible.
You have free use of a whiteboard, a flipchart, a beamer, a projection screen and 5Ghz Wifi. There is also a professional sound and lighting installation in the sawmill. If necessary, we will arrange for a sound engineer to help you set up and use the technology during the meeting.
Molen de Ster is easily accessible by public transport and by car. The grounds of the mill are car-free. However, bicycles may be parked on the site. The Jaarbeurs car park (P1/P-Beatrix building) is located on an approach road. You can reserve a parking space in advance at a reduced rate. The Jaarbeurs and Utrecht Central Station are a 7-minute walk from the mill.
