And you get all that with an international vibe, the elegance of Amsterdam's Golden Age and state-of-the-art facilities. Fond of diversity as we are, we open our doors for symposia, congresses, conferences, meetings, events and parties. And whether you are looking for a classic look or want to create a modern atmosphere - it is possible. Receive your guests in the Marble Hall, inspire in the Queen Máxima Room, organise a barbecue in the fairytale courtyard garden or book the entire venue exclusively for up to 900 guests. Whatever your approach, with us every speaker - and guest - will automatically be inspired. In addition to its conference facilities, KIT also has a magnificent café de Tropen. In summer, the large terrace and fairytale-like inner garden are the perfect place to organise events, dinners and barbecues.
In addition, on the other side of our green courtyard garden, the Amsterdam Tropen Hotel is part of the Royal Tropical Institute. Convenient and comfortable if you want to stay overnight after an event or meeting. Currently, the hotel is closed, until at least 2024, for renovation.

In our catering range, we consider the best ingredients on all fronts, all year round, based on the idea of encouraging conscious consumption as much as possible.
