A BEAUTIFUL MESS - MEET WITH IMPACT
Welcome to A Beautiful Mess Utrecht. The former hospital on Joseph Haydnlaan has been home to an AZC for 30 years. In cooperation with Refugee Company, a Coffee Cafe was also started at this special location in 2020. Most of the trainees of the cosy café are residents of the AZC. Here, they find a free and safe place to work with a team and get a taste of the hospitality business. They help in the kitchen or service, learn Dutch and get stronger.

SPACE
Thanks to the large windows and open space, there is plenty of daylight throughout the day. Together with the many plants, Middle Eastern prints and colourful interior, this gives the café a nice (working) atmosphere. The space can also be darkened and the presence of a slightly raised stage and beamer makes it perfect for presentations and meetings. The presence of a sliding wall allows the space to be divided into two.
A large round meeting table, high bar tables, benches and armchairs; the room has diverse furniture. It is also possible to move out to our terrace under the trees with six picnic tables.
CAPACITY
This venue has a 'normal' capacity of 50 people. As the room can be divided by a sliding wall, it is a nice place to get together even with a smaller party.
