Location tip: Buitenplaats Bergse Bossen

Buitenplaats De Bergse Bossen near Utrecht

This venue tip is very fine location, in the middle of the greenery near Driebergen. Originating from a holiday resort of the trade union CNV, this country house is now an extensive meeting centre. With 13 meeting rooms, event possibilities, teambuilding activities as well as overnight stays, there are plenty of options. And what makes the venue even nicer: they have an eye for the hidden talents of their staff. So in addition to regular work, there are also people working on (vegetable) gardening, interior styling and garden design.

History

About five years ago, Buitenplaats Bergse Bossen passed into new hands. The new owner is Fine Hotels & Suites, a small-scale chain with so far boutique hotels in The Hague, Schiedam and Delft. This was not the first acquisition of the venue. In 2005, Roberto Mascini took over the hotel from CNV. This union had built up the location after World War II with nickels and dimes as a holiday centre for its members.
